Ayurveda: The Science of Life
What is Ayurveda you may ask?Ayurveda is an ancient, 5000 years old, healing art and science from India focused on creating balance within the body that is all about connecting with nature to maintain that balance. The Science of Life. It is a natural medicine for balance, prevention, and management. It is about truly understanding our unique individual nature and tendencies, and utilizing all the natural methods of helping the body be balanced. Being deeply connected to nature, Ayurveda is a natural and nourishing way of experiencing balanced health​Ayurveda is great for both both prevention and managing current health issues.​
Whether you feel good and want to learn how to prevent issues down the road, Ayurveda is great. If you have a specific challenge you want help with (diabetes, hair loss, weight, autoimmune, menstrual issues, pain management, etc.), Ayurveda is great. :) Your appointments can involve lifestyle guidance, dietary guidance herbal recommendations, and Ayurvedic treatments specific to what your body needs for healing.
Appointments:
Initial Consultation
This is a 90 minute in-depth consultation. You will discover your Prakruti (your unique constitution), your Vikruti (imbalance), and you will receive Ayurvedic tools (lifestyle, food, spices, herbs) to support both and accomplish your health goals.
Follow-up Visits
This is a 30-45 minute consultation to reflect on what you have been doing and make any necessary adjustments. ​

Ayurvedic Facial
This is a relaxing treatment to rejuvenate yourself and your face. Everything used is I make and prepare the same day as your facial. Everything used is made from Ayurvedic herbs. Hand and foot massage are included.

Shirodhara
Shirodhara is an ancient Ayurvedic healing technique that involves a continous stream of medicated oil being poured over the forehead . The entire session is about 75minutes and includes foot, hand, and neck massage.​ Ayurveda works a lot with the skin being our largest organ. Medicated oils (with herbs) are used frequently to heal the body. The oil used in Shirodhara has specific herbs to help with specific challenges, and is amazing for the nervous system! It has so many healing benefits, including but not limited to the following:

Pinda Sweda (Patra, Jambeera, and others)
Pinda Sveda is an Ayurvedic treatment that involves using herbs, oils, and other ingredients to make a poultice and massageing either the whole body, or parts of the body with the poultice. It is frequently used in the healing and management of pain in the musculoskeletal tissues. The herbs selected are individualized for the rogi (health seeker) needs. Other benefts also include: reduction of sweeling, toxin removal, improved circulation, relaxation, stress-relief, and more!​

Basti
Basti is an Ayurvedic treatment where a dam is created from black gram flour to hold a medicated oil (oil that has been cooked with certain medicinal herbs) for what the person needs. Common areas this is done is the back (Kati Basti), the neck (Greeva Basti), the heart (Uro Basti), and the knee (Janu Basti). Basti is great for low back pain, sciatica, slipped disc/bulging disc issues, bone degeneration, joint issues, etc.​

Udvartana
This is an Ayurvedic treatment/massage that is best for excess Kapha, diabetes, obesity, etc. A paste of herbs is created and then used to deliver the massage, instead of oil. The direction of pressure is the opposite as that of Abhyanga.​
